World Maritime Fair in China since 1998

Due to the availability of the exhibition venue, Dalian World Expo Center during the period of late October 2010, the organizer of Shiptec China recently amended the opening days of the event from 4 days to 3 days. Therefore, the confirmed dates of Shiptec China 2010 will be 26-28 October 2010, from Tuesday to Thurday.
About 12% will be cut off the booth rental as Shiport China 2008. The visiting and exhibiting activities will be more focus on the span of three full days. Stand dismantling will start strictly after the show closes on the last day and will last overnight till the noon of the fourth day.
Shiport China 2008 was jointly hosted by China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, China Shipowners’ Association, Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and Dalian Municipal People’s Government. The event came out a complete success. The attention was drawn again to Dalian and to the wonder of gathering of maritime industry players.
Shiport China 2008, the biggest martitime event in North China, reflected the huge and increasing demand for information about the industry and participation in this precious networking chance. The leading industry players in China including CSIC, COSCO, China Ocean Shipping and other major equipment manufacturers showcased their latest products and technology on a possible bigger space. Member societies of ICAS were keen to participate in this growing maritime event and they were GL, DNV, KRS, CCS, RINA and ClassNK. DNV, KRS, ClassNK and RINA attended Shiport China for their very first time. They regarded the event was a success.
Shiport 2008 has accommodated five national pavilions in the exhibition, namely the China, Korean, Japan, Norway and Denmark. Totally 462 exhibitors met over 8000 visitors at the four day’s event.

Recently, a barter deal was reached between show organizers of both Shiptec China and Kormarine, the two leading maritime trade fairs in Asia, that Shiptec China will have a shell scheme stand, #948 in Hall 2. It will be the second time of exhibiting at a guest show outside China following its first exposure as an exhibitor at APM, April 2008 in Singapore.

As the brand new version of Shiport China, Shiptec China was officially launched during Shiport China 2008, 5-8 November, 2008 at Dalian, Liaoning, the People’s Republic of China.
“Ship & Technology” rather than “Ship & Port” will be the focus of the following editions of the maritime event since the year of 2010. Port section will not be abandoned, but be a part of the exhibit categories.
Shiptec China is scheduled to take place on 26-29 October, 2010 at Dalian World Expo Center, Dalian, Liaoning Prov. of China.
